How to prevent accessing accounts with server IP address and account username in a cPanel server?

If you own a shared hosting system then resources measure is very important. We all know that in any cPanel server each and every user can access their own account (Domain Names) by using the server IP address or host name if the “Apache mod_userdir” is disabled on the server. The it's very serious issue because by allowing IP/user name access process every cPanel user can access their own websites with server IP address or host name but anybody else can also access their domain by using an another account in the shared server. The disadvantage of this feature is that any bandwidth usage used by this website will be put on the domain it is accessed under or the main server. For resolving this problem you should prevent accessing accounting with server IP address and account username in a cPanel server.

Now the question arises that how to prevent accessing accounting with server IP address and account username in a cPanel server?

Here are some steps which help you to prevent accessing accounting with server IP address and account user name in a cPanel server :

First Step : Log in to WHM control panel
Second Step : Go to - Home >> Security Center >> Apache mod_userdir Tweak
Third Step : Select the “Enable mod_userdir Protection” option
Final Step : Save These Settings

Now you can check that your steps worked properly or not by trying to access the website using user name.

Finally by trying to access the website using user name you will get the error shown below :

404 Not Found

The server can not find the requested page:

This means that you have prevented accessing accounting with server IP address and account username in a cPanel server.
